PROMACTA is a once-daily tablet that you can take at home, work, or on the go.

PROMACTA is available in 4 tablet strengths (12.5 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, and 75 mg) so your doctor can adjust your dose according to your needs.

If you or the person you care for has been prescribed PROMACTA, you should be aware of certain foods and supplements that may affect the way PROMACTA works.

When taking PROMACTA, remember “before or after”:

Watch your food intake

 

Watch your dairy intake

 

This includes calcium-rich foods or supplements. Be sure to check the labels of your food or supplements to be sure.

 

Examples of calcium-rich foods containing >50 mg of calcium include:

  • Dairy products (yogurt, cheese, milk, ice cream)
  • Calcium-fortified foods (orange juice, dry cereal, bread)
  • Leafy green vegetables (collard greens, spinach)

 

Dosing according to your schedule

For example, if you prefer taking medication at night and go to bed at 9:00 PM, follow these recommendations:
